Loss Assessor - Midlands incl Galway
Join OMC Claims, Ireland’s largest firm of public loss assessors and policyholder advocates. We are looking for a dedicated Loss Assessor to strengthen our team and service the Midlands including Galway. In this role, you will handle property and business interruption claims from start to finish, ensuring our policyholder clients receive the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of property and business interruption claims on behalf of policyholders
- Assess building damage, prepare reports, and negotiate settlements
- Liaise with clients, insurers, and contractors to resolve complex claim issues
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim records
Candidate Requirements
- Property & Business Interruption Expertise: Solid professional experience with exposure to complex claims
- Construction & Building Knowledge: Excellent understanding of building technologies, construction methods, and relevant standards
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and empathy, able to guide clients under stressful circumstances
- Accountancy Proficiency: Skilled in evaluating financial loss calculations and presenting clear, accurate reports
- Professional Qualifications:
- APA or CIP qualified in line with the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code
- Up-to-date with the Central Bank’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements
- Compliant with the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime
