Business Implementation Project Manager

Fexco currently has requirement for a Business Implementation Project Manager within its Client Delivery team. The purpose of the Business Implementation Project Management function is to enable Fexco to define and delivery multiple complex projects through a well-defined process of quality-controlled stages to demanding time schedules within strict budgets constraints. The successful candidate will have responsibility to delivery projects in conjunction with external clients and partners and internal stakeholders such as Sales, IT, Finance, Operations and Senior Management.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Coordinating resourcing and delivery with internal and external stakeholders for multiple projects, running concurrently to meet project deadlines.
  • Taking a lead role in facilitating project workshops to understand and scope requirements while clearly articulating the breadth and depth of our delivery capabilities.
  • Acting as a liaison between the IT team and business clients to ensure business needs and technical solutions are aligned and understood.
  • Managing and coordinating the implementation of system changes in line with the scope of the project.
  • Delivery of timely and accurate reporting on project status and timelines.
  • Preparation of key project documents, including Business Requirements Documents, Risks and Issues Logs, Project Plans and Project Closedown Documents.
  • Chairing regular project meetings and steering meetings, ensuring that the project plan, progress, issues and risks are clearly captured and communicated to all of the key stakeholders.
  • Providing relevant input to contracts and reviewing contract detail.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the customer’s project team throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Liaising with third party suppliers and partners.
  • Providing Sales Support (incl. RFP Preparation, Demonstrations, Presentations) to key prospects as part of the Sales process.
  • Recognising sales opportunities with existing clients and channel partners.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • A primary degree in IT or a related discipline is required. A postgraduate qualification in Project Management or an MBA (or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Project Management Process Knowledge is required. A Project Management Qualification - Prince 2 Practitioner or PMP is desirable.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar Project Management role, within IT/Technology and/or the Card Payments industry.
  • A proven ability to deliver highly visible and business critical projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven track record of success as a Project Manager coupled with strong relationship building skills, including written, face-to-face and remote (conference call/phone based).
  • Have a thorough and practical understanding of project lifecycles and the delivery of parallel cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in the management of Internal and External Suppliers.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Project and MS-Office Professional suite of products, including PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Knowledge of the Credit Card Payments / Financial Services industries is desirable.

  • Experience in directing and supervising a team to delivery of objectives.
  • Willingness to travel and be based abroad temporarily for the definition, implementation and hand-over phases of projects.
